Exhibition and skills show will take place in parallel with the ‘First Work Experience’ conference and the Learning and Sharing Hub sessions. Skills show provides space for exhibitors, employers and VET schools to share their experience, form new partnerships and learn about latest technologies and innovations from different industry sectors.
Furthermore, under the mentorship of employer representatives and VET school teachers, skills show will include a peer student competition where they will have an opportunity to showcase practical knowledge and skills. Idea behind the skills show is to support students’ creativity and craftsmanship through fun activities and learning. At the same time, this event will draw attention of the audience, as well as students participating, to vocational education careers. This is especially relevant for students at the primary level of education who are at the moment considering their future education and career paths.
Moderators and judges at the skills show competition will be industry representatives from the most reputable employers that are interested in preparing young people for world of work.
Skills show will also be an ideal opportunity for school teachers and head teachers to develop new partnerships with employers that will help them bring innovative technology, tools and practical learning into their schools and classrooms.
